covid-19 update
With the past months of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff at FPPK in conjunction with Pastor Rich and the First Presbyterian Church have decided to close the school doors for the 2020/2021 school year. This was a very difficult decision for us and we are truly saddened by it. Our main concern is not only for the physical health of the children, families, and staff, but for the emotional well-being of your children. Given the severe restrictions we must follow to open, we felt it was not in the best interest to open in September. For a young child not to be able to hug, play dress-up, snuggle with a stuffed animal, share toys, play side-by-side with classmates, and to not have the music, art, dance, and library experiences FPPK usually offers, would be detrimental to their development. Closing for a year as we await the end of the pandemic is our best option. We look forward to re-opening in September of 2021 as a new, up-to-date facility offering the same love and care that FPPK is known for.
To maintain our sense of family with you and to show the community that we are still very much a viable preschool and kindergarten, we will be offering child-friendly and informative events throughout the year. (Socially distanced, of course.) Check our Facebook page and our calendar for news and upcoming events.
Enjoy this extra time with your children. They grow up so fast!
